WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — There’s no doubt, healthcare workers are every day heroes but when their shift is over, they take on other roles like being parents, sisters, brothers, spouses, and friends.
A big concern is bringing germs home to their families. Officials at two hospitals in West Palm Beach are hoping to ease those concerns.
Starting this week, employees at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital now have the option to get their vehicles sprayed down with a powerful, hospital-grade disinfectant spray at the end of their 12-hour shifts.
Chuck Asman, the Director of Environmental Services, says it is just one way they hope to give their staff some peace of mind during these stressful times, allowing them to go home feeling cleaner and safer.
